Broken Toe Cast On in 1x1 ribbing over 96 needles (48-0-48)
Knit 14 rows total (includes 4 rows used in Broken Toe Cast On)

Transfer ribber stitches to the main bed.

REMOVE WEIGHTS

Remove yarn from tension mast

With Intarsia Carriage on LEFT side move Left to Right and set up for Intarsia knitting.  Stitch size 7

RC 000

Mark bed into four (4) equal sections - each will have 24 stitches.  I used a red china marker.

Be sure you cross your yarns over each other when moving from one color to the next.  Watch that your yarn does NOT get behind the Gate Pegs.

Knit in pattern until RC 042

Start the bind-off / decrease process on needles 24 & 25 right and left of -0-

I used a 1x2 prong tool.

I used the 1 prong end to place the stitches back into the hook on the third needle from the decrease edge.

I than used the 2 prong end to move stitches 24 & 23 to 23 & 22 and stitches 24& 26 to 26 & 27.  This sounds strange but try it and you will understand that it is easier to have the stitches in the latches when transferring for the decreases.

You will only be crossing your yarns at 1-0-1 now.

Continue to decrease every two rows - or when carriage is on the right, until you have three  (3) stitches of each color still in work (RC 084).  Bind off stitches.  Leave tail to sew together.

Remember to put non-working needles to the A Position.

BRING the transferred stitches back into the Intarsia position & LATCHES OPEN

Make tassels and tie on with yarn tails.

            Work in extra yarn tails.

                ENJOY!
