machine knitting.  Generally, set the tension dial to the
suggested hand-knitting needle size and obtain the same gauge.
For a DK-Weight yarn that asks for a needle #6 to get about
5-5 1/2 stitches per inch, set the tension dial to 6, the yarn mast
to 0 and you should get about 5-5 1/2 stitches per inch.  Then just
follow the hand knit directions.
Needle spacing is 6.5 mm
